DOUWE EGBERTS – NO ORDINARY JAR, NO ORDINARY COFFEE

Coffee lovers love Douwe Egberts coffee jars just as much as they love Douwe Egberts coffee. Glass not plastic and with a unique sealable design, the jar protects and keeps the coffee fresh.

 

But when the coffee’s gone, the real story begins. Jars are transformed, upcyled. It’s become a movement  and provided us with the inspiration for an 18 month campaign. We didn’t just hero the product, but its packaging too allolwing us to tell a very different story in the cluttered coffee aisle.

 

Using the upcycling insight, we gave our jar a designer makeover. A million Orla Kiely jars sold out helping us to steal market share and elevate Douwe Egberts from the nation’s number 3 coffee brand to the nation’s number 2.
